Paris!
The pieces highlighted now are all inspired by Paris and its magical sites.
The buildings from the Paris Expos 1889 and 1900 define Paris. One of my favorites is the Petit Palais.
How could I not include something from the Louvre here in Paris? I found this floor while visiting the museum one day.
This piece began as a discussion at my local (now closed) quilt store here in Paris. Strangely, this was about 2 months before the disastrous fire that destabilized the building and destroyed the roof.
While visiting the Panthéon in Paris, I was struck by the simplicity of the circular floor of this section. Translating this, I used various shades of orange and gray fabric.
