I am an American living in France. I have been working with fiber art in this way for over 10 years.

 

"Pictorales" is a term I use to describe my work which does not fit easily into existing categories. I have been inspired by renaissance floors, photos, the Opéra in Paris, Versailles and many other places. I take elements from these places and reinterpret them in fabric. 

 

These pieces are all 100% cotton with fabric from around the world. They are usually about 240cm/240cm or 96in/96in, although they vary a bit, piece by piece.The back of most pieces has another, related, simpler design.
